Ethan Wheatley signs for League Two club on loan for the remainder of the season

Manchester United have announced the loan departure of academy player Ethan Wheatley after the departure of Ennis and Williams.

Manchester United confirmed on Saturday the loan departure of 19-year-old Ethan Wheatley who debuted under former manager Erik ten Hag.

The club has decided to send some academy players out on loan this window for more first-team experience.

Ethan Ennis was the first player to depart the club this window after completing a loan move to Doncaster Rovers, Ethan Williams to Cheltenham Town, and Joe Hugill left Wigan Athletic to join Carlisle United.

The three Ethans have left the club on loan but reports state that Manchester United are seriously working on a loan move for midfielder Dan Gore.

Ethan Wheatley signs for Walsall on loan

Manchester United has announced that Ethan Wheatley will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Walsall.

It was Wheately’s first ever loan as a player and the 19-year-old striker is excited and looking forward to playing for the League Two side.

Ethan Wheatley has trained with the first-team squad at Manchester United even when Ruben Amorim took charge, but yet to play a game under the Portuguese manager.

The player has been impressive playing for the Manchester United under-21s and has gained a lot of first-team experience. Championship clubs were interested in signing him on loan but League Two side Walsall won the race.
