Manchester United has completed the signing of 17-year-old Colombian gem Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza CEIF, and he will join the club next summer.
Manchester United struck an agreement with Fortaleza, his current club, for a transfer worth approximately $1million (£741,000). Cristian Orozco is the latest addition to the youth team, just as the club did with the likes of Diego Leon and Sekou Kone.
The 17-year-old will formally relocate to England in the summer, and his signing is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to attract some of the most talented young players in the world.

Cristian Orozco: Who is he?
Currently playing for the Colombian team Fortaleza, Orozco is a talented midfield player. He only moved from Rojo FC to his current team in the summer.
He plays as a midfielder with a somewhat greater defensive focus. With nine caps for the Colombia under-19 national team, Orozco has already made a name for himself on the international level.
Cristian Orozco is currently representing Colombia at the Under-17 World Cup, and he is seen as their best player in the last two games played so far.
Colombian newspaper El Espectador praises Orozco after his performance in the first game: “He leads not only with the ball but also with his attitude. The rhythm of the game flows through him.
“He’s the first to press the opponent and understands the game, knowing when to play short and when to play long. He has ‘excellent ball control’, helps the team build from the back, and is adept at recovering it as well”.

Who is Cristian Orozco’s idol?
Crystal Palace’s midfielder Jefferson Lerma is Cristian Orozco’s idol, according to Colombian newspaper El Espectador.
