Manchester United hosted Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon ahead of the October international break. The Red Devils ended up securing the three huge points after a disappointing defeat at Brentford last week.
Ruben Amorim made five changes to his starting XI that started the last Premier League game against Brentford, including the arrival of Amad Diallo and Casemiro.
Another notable change in the starting XI that faced Sunderland on Saturday was the involvement of Senne Lammens, who joined the club during the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper made his Manchester United debut against Sunderland. A game that saw Manchester United keep their first clean sheet of the season.

Senne Lammens did really well on his Manchester United debut and made some decent saves, including two high claims from set-pieces. Lammens impressed the fans with these little things because they don’t see their previous goalkeeper do it.
What did Amorim say about Lammens?
“Lammens seems confident, but the most important thing is that his teammates helped Senne to have a good match, Ruben Amorim said after the game. Everyone was focused.
“There weren’t many mistakes. When he arrived, Altay [Bayindir] was playing, and you could feel that he needed to adapt. New country, new club, the pressure you put on goalkeepers, so it was a little preparation for him. It’s just one match; he needs to keep going and prepare, because it’s tough in this club, but he did well. He was comfortable.”

Ruben Amorim stressed that Senne Lammens starting over Altay Bayindir was due to a rotation when asked before the game, but the clear plan has been for Lammens to become the club’s number one goalkeeper once he gets up to speed.
Senne Lammens is expected to continue as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper after the international break, and Ruben Amorim’s comments after the game show that there is no chance for Altay Bayindir.
Sky Sports’ Adam Bate: “Senne Lammens also looked composed when kicking with his right and left foot”.
