Manchester United injury news as Ruben Amorim’s men prepare to face Southampton at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United have found form in the last two games, one of the toughest of the season, scoring and getting a deserved point at Anfield.

The team also demonstrated a fighting spirit and togetherness in the last game against Arsenal at the Emirates, playing with 10 men. Thanks to the great performance from Altay Bayindir who made some crucial saves, including two penalty saves.

Manchester United will be back in Premier League action on Thursday evening as they host Southampton at Old Trafford.

The game at Old Trafford against Southampton is the club’s first home game of the year and they will be looking to build momentum.

Manchester United’s latest injury update vs Southampton

Luke Shaw: Ruben Amorim has revealed that the English left-back is close to returning to action. He has said that Shaw should be back within two weeks.

Diogo Dalot: The Portugues right-back will be unavailable for the game against Southampton after being shown a red card in the last FA Cup clash vs Arsenal.

Harry Maguire: The Boss confirmed that Maguire was sick in the last game and was very tired so he couldn’t continue, but “we’ll see”, says Amorim.

Mason Mount is still not close to a return and it will take a little longer before we see the midfielder back, but he is not going to be out until the end of the season, says Ruben Amorim.

Lisandro Martinez: We saw the Argentine centre-back being positioned higher up the pitch at the end of the game against Arsenal. Ruben Amorim claimed that Bruno Fernandes told him that Licha was very tired so he had to go up front.

Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof will be out for the game as they are yet to make their return from injury, but the Boss will be hoping to have Evans back soon.

Amad Dialo started the game against Arsenal from the bench with Ruben Amorim revealing that he had a slight knock. However, he came off the bench and played more than 30 minutes.

He looks fit and ready to start against Southampton on Thursday. Amad Daillo is currently one of the most important players in the squad with the club handing him a new deal until 2030.
