Manchester United winger Antony Dos Santos is close to joining La Liga outfit Real Betis on a loan deal without a buy option.
Antony joined Manchester United for a transfer fee worth 86 million pounds from Ajax in the summer of 2022 but, the Brazilian hasn’t lived up to expectations at Old Trafford. He is now set to leave on a temporary deal.

Antony Dos Santos CLOSE to joining Real Betis
According to top transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, A verbal agreement has been reached between Real Betis and Manchester United for the transfer of Antony on a straight loan without a buy option. Real Betis are expected to cover part of the player’s salary.
It was also reported that a final decision was made to put the 24-year-old winger on the market because of his miss against Southampton. A loan move away this month is the best thing for both parties.
If Antony does well on loan at Real Betis, his market value will increase and that is a piece of good news for Manchester United.
Will Manchester United replace Antony?
According to Lurie Whitwell, Ruben Amorim will ask the board for a replacement for Antony if he leaves on loan this winter. He is very close to completing his loan move to Real Betis and has already said “YES” to the Spanish club.
Antony came off the bench for Manchester United against Brighton on Sunday, making it two consecutive games in which he has come from the bench in a row but failed to impress the Portuguese manager. He might have played his last game of the season for the club on Sunday.
Fabrizio Romano has recently revealed on his YouTube channel that Manchester United are expected to be active in the market to sign a replacement for Antony.
Manchester United has been linked with a move to sign Malian forward Dorgeles Nene from RB Salzburg, it was exclusively revealed by Fabrizio.
However, Manchester United has not decided on whether to sign him this winter or in the summer. But with Antony set to leave, the club could make a move to secure Nene’s signature.
