Ruben Amorim’s team secured another victory after the dramatic win in the Europa League against Rangers at Old Trafford. That makes it two consecutive wins for the Red Devils.
The expectation was that the board would back Ruben Amorim in the January transfer window by making some signings in important positions, but that is yet to happen with a few days left until the transfer market shuts down.
One of the major problems at the club is the lack of goals. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are struggling to meet the manager’s demands and it will be hard for the coach to make the season a success without his strikers.
Manchester United open to selling Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee were heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United at the start of the winter transfer window, but the club are not open to a loan move.
However, Joshua Zirkzee doesn’t want to leave the club as he wants to stay and fight for his place, according to multiple reports.
A new report from ESPN has claimed that the club are prepared to sanction the sale of Rasmus Hojlund this month or in the summer if they receive a suitable offer,
The reports also stated that Serie A clubs Juventus and AC Milan could make a move for him if they fail to land their preferred options. There is also interest from the Bundesliga.
Victor Osimhen to Manchester United?
According to ESPN, Manchester United would consider a move for the Super Eagle striker if his loan deal at Galatasaray could be transferred to another club during this window, but Napoli will only be open to do a deal if it includes an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
Ruben Amorim would want a new striker in his team this transfer window. The last time Hojlund scored a goal for Manchester United was on 12th December 2024 in the Europa League against Viktoria Plzen.
Joshua Zirkzee’s last goal also came against Tottenham on 19th December 2024 in the Carabao Cup. Both strikers are yet to find the net for Manchester United in 2025.
