How many games will Patrick Dorgu miss after his red card vs Ipswich Town?

Manchester United’s new signing Patrick Dorgu was sent off on Wednesday night in the Premier League clash vs Ipswich Town after a serious foul.

Manchester United hosted Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town in the Premier League last night with a 3-2 victory after being reduced to 10 men.

Ruben Amorim’s team started the game at Old Trafford well, but they fell behind early after Andre Onana and Patrick Dorgu miscommunicated. Ipswich’s Jaden Philogene made no mistake in giving the visitors the lead.

Bruno Fernandes forced Ipswich’s captain Sam Morsy to an own goal after his set-piece. De Ligt gave Manchester United the lead from another excellent cross into the box from Bruno.

A few minutes after De Ligt’s goal, Patrick Dorgu had a serious challenge on Omari Hutchinson and the VAR had to intervene. They told the referee to review and check for a potential red card.

After VAR checks, the Manchester United new signing was shown a straight red card for a serious foul that forced Ruben Amorim to make an early substitution as Alejandro Garnacho came off for Noussair Mazraoui.

Manchester United conceded their second goal of the night after the red card. Jaden Philogene scored the equalizer before the first-half whistle.

However, Harry Maguire’s header from Bruno Fernandes’ corner restored Manchester United’s lead in the second half as the game ended in a 3-2 victory.

Which games will Patrick Dorgu miss?

Manchester United confirmed on Thursday morning that Patrick Dorgu will miss the FA Cup match against Fulham, with the Premier League games against Arsenal and Leicester City.

However, the Danish talented left-back will be available for Manchester United’s round of 16 games against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

Patrick Dorgu will be a huge miss for Ruben Amorim in the Cup game vs Fulham and the two upcoming Premier League matches, but the most important thing is that he is fit and will learn from his mistakes.

“Patrick [Dorgu] will play in the Europa League, that’s for sure because we have to rotate,” Ruben Amorim said during his post-match press conference.

Will Kobbie Mainoo leave Man United? Club makes decision amid Real Madrid and Chelsea interest

Published

on

Manchester United’s stance on Kobbie Mainoo has been made clear amid interest from Real Madrid and other top European clubs.

Kobbie Mainoo is unhappy and frustrated with his playing time at the club. The 20-year-old’s playing time has been reduced since Ruben Amorim’s arrival in November, and it clearly seems that the manager doesn’t rate him.

Manchester United have played two matches so far this season, and Kobbie Mainoo has been given zero minutes in those games. Mainoo’s body language at Fulham says it all about his frustration. The player is now exploring his options in the final days of the window.

Kobbie Mainoo is open to a move away from Manchester United this summer, but a departure may not be easy since there are only four days left before the window shuts. However, Manchester United has made its stance clear.

Will Kobbie Mainoo leave Man United?

Kobbie Mainoo leaving Manchester United is a possibility for the future, but as of this window, it seems unlikely, as the club is not actively looking to sell the player, according to reports from The Times Sports.

Manchester United’s current stance on the player is that they are not actively looking to sell the player in the final days of the window and will not push him out the door.

Are Real Madrid interested in Kobbie Mainoo?

Yes, Real Madrid are among the top clubs monitoring the situation of Kobbie Mainoo at Manchester United, according to MailSports. Up to 10 clubs are interested in the talented midfielder.

The FIFA World Cup is around the corner, and Kobbie Mainoo will need game time to show that he deserves to be in the England squad. England manager Thomas Tuchel was present at Old during the first game of the season against Arsenal, where Mason Mount shone, but no sign of Mainoo.

Chelsea and more Premier League clubs are also interested and are closely monitoring the situation. Kobbie Mainoo is yet to inform the club about his desire to leave, but he will be open to leaving.

Revealed: Will Diego Leon leave Manchester United on loan?

Published

on

There have been some talks regarding the future of Diego Leon at Manchester United as the Paraguayan talented left-back is preparing for a new life in Manchester.

In December 2024, Manchester United reached an agreement with Cerro Porteno for an Initial fee of $4 million plus $1 million easy add-ons and over $3.5 million based on players’ or team future performances.

After the agreement in December last year, the plan was for Diego Leon to arrive at the club in July ahead of pre-season for the new season under Ruben Amorim, and as expected, Leon traveled to England on the 1st of July to complete his move.

Diego Leon has already passed his Manchester United medical last year, meeting the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Lisandro Martinez at Carrington at that time.

Recent reports have claimed that Diego Leon is expected to be loaned out by Manchester United this summer, while other news outlets claimed that he will start with the academy like Sekou Kone.

Will Diego Leon leave Manchester United on loan?

At the moment, Manchester United has not made any decision regarding the future of Diego Leon. Ruben Amorim and his staff will asses the 18-year-old left-back before making any decision.

The expectation is that Diego Leon will be given a chance during the friendly games in pre-season. He could end up staying around the first team next season and provide competition for Patrick Dorgu.

“Everyone thinks I’ll go out on loan, but I don’t have that mentality. I’m going to tear it up in pre-season, and in one or two games, I’ll be playing with them”, Diego Leon told Cuevasmat at the airport as he boarded his flight to Manchester.

“I have a lot of confidence in myself. I’m going to be at the top with them. Now, with the faith intact that I can succeed. I’m very happy, every player dreams of this.” Diego Leon said about joining Manchester United.

Revealed: Andre Onana will only leave Manchester United for one reason after interest from AS Monaco

Published

on

A new report has revealed the only reason why Andre Onana will agree to leave Manchester United this summer after recent interest from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.

AS Monaco are the latest club to show an interest in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana after interest from the Saudi Arabian Pro League and other clubs.

However, Andre Onana is keen to stay at Manchester United and fight for his place, plus prove himself. Reports have claimed that the goalkeeper is part of the club’s project.

Manchester United’s aim this summer is to strengthen every area of the squad, and the goalkeeper position is not ruled out if Andre Onana leaves.

Andre Onana will only leave Man United for one reason

AS Monaco has shown interest in Andre Onana and asked to be kept informed about his situation, but the goalkeeper is determined to stay at Manchester United unless he is told he is surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim, according to ESPN.

As things stand, Andre Onana is expected to return to Carrington with the Manchester United squad next month and start preparation for the new season. He remains part of the project.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Andre Onana’s situation could change later in the summer if both he and the club receive a good proposal. Manchester United would be open to selling him.

“We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,” Amorim said. “We need to improve. We cannot change all the players. We need to improve every position on the field. Goalkeeper is the same; we can work with André. André Onana already proved he is a top player with Inter. We have some seasons where we are [all] underperforming.”

Altay Bayindir is expected to leave Manchester United this summer as he wants to be the number one ahead of the World Cup 2026.

“I’d have fould it difficult”- Rio Ferdinand talks Bruno Fernandes after he rejected £700,000-per-week deal

Published

on

Bruno Fernandes turned down a life-changing offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal and decided to stay at Manchester United this summer.

The Saudi Arabian club was ready to pay what it takes to sign the Manchester United captain ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup this month, but he rejected them.

Bruno Fernandes’ decision to stay at Manchester United and fight to get the club back to the top came as a surprise to many. Manchester United just came off their worst season in the club’s history. Tottenham defeated them in the UEFA Europa League final and failed to qualify for the Champions League, which means a 25% cut from each of the players’ salaries.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand speaks highly of Bruno Fernandes and described his decision as “loyalty” to the club and fans, as he claimed the captain has unfinished business at Old Trafford.

“If I was him, I think I’d have found it difficult to say no”, Ferdinand told Mirror Football. “I’ve got to be honest. The one thing it says to me, there’s a loyalty. And I think that word gets banded about quite a lot, but we don’t really see it often from the club’s point of view and the players”.

“And listen, I understand it’s a business. But I think he looks at this as pure, “I’ve got unfinished business at United. There’s stuff I want to do here. Yes, I’ve been paid well here. The fans love me.” But I think he’s in the game of wanting to give back after all he’s received. So I’ve got nothing but respect for him. I would have understood him leaving if he left, 100 per cent”

“But the fact that he stayed and said, listen, there’s stuff for me still to do here. I think it’s a testament to him as a person, but also another reason why the managers comfortably give him the armband.”
