Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens was interviewed by the club ahead of their game against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Senne Lammens has transformed the Manchester United backline since he arrived from Royal Antwerp in the summer, replacing Andre Onana, who failed to live up to expectations. There’s now confidence at the back with Senne Lammens in goal.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper played a big part in Manchester United’s recent wins against Manchester City and Arsenal under Michael Carrick. He made some big saves at the Emirates Stadium that helped Manchester United secure the three points.

In a recent interview, Senne Lammens talked about his national teammate, Thibaut Courtois, as he heaps praise on Belgium’s goalkeepers. The Manchester United number one also talks about the difference between the Premier League and other leagues.

What did Senne Lammens say about Thibaut Courtois?

Speaking to the MUTV, Senne Lammens said; “I think we [Belguim] always have quite a couple of the best goalkeepers in the world, as well with Thibaut Courtois now who is at the national team, he is a big example as well of how big Belgium goalkeepers get in the world so I hope I can also get my career going to also get to that point”

Thibaut Courtois is definitely someone Senne Lammens looks up to and learning from. They both met in the Bleguim national team during the international break and shared the training pitch together.

Talking about getting used to the Premier League, Senne Lammens said, “I would say it’s very physical and everything is quite fast because the quality is better than all the other leagues, Belgium, which I played before. Set pieces are a BIG thing, especially for goalkeepers. Very physical, but yeah, I’m getting used to it a bit. It’s the best league for a reason, so you have to get used to it”.

“Yeah, [the atmosphere was the best], Senne Lammens said about the recent game against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

“I think it has to be one of the best, if not the best, games I’ve been part of, just in every facet. Like defending, attacking, the number of chances we created, and not giving away any chances. I thought it was really something that Saturday, so we hope we can do it like almost every home game, to be honest.”

“The things you heard, like from the years past in Manchester, you think that you hope you can experience those nights. And I think that Saturday was one of them. So you try to, in the future, get as many of those nights as possible and then, hopefully, get some trophies,” Senne Lammens said.

Manchester United will be looking to continue their winning ways against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday. It’s not going to be an easy game against a low-block team.
