Serie A outfit AS Roma has expressed an interest in signing Brazilian midfielder Casemiro from Manchester United this winter transfer window.

Manchester United’s aim this transfer window and in the summer is to make a lot of sales from the first team to help Ruben Amorim rebuild his squad.

The club has made the wing-back and attacking a priority this transfer window as it’s one of the major problems. The team has struggled defending set-pieces over the past games and lacks goals.

Antony Dos Santos has successfully secured a loan move without a buy option to Real Betis and has started training with his new club, but Manchester United are looking at more outgoings before the end of the transfer market.

Casemiro is one of the players who is strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford this window but he is yet to find a club in Europe due to his big wages at Manchester United.

AS Roma wants Casemiro from Manchester United

According to Sky Sports News, AS Roma are interested in signing Casemiro from Manchester United this winter transfer market and has asked for information regarding a potential deal.

The reports also stated that the Brazilian midfielder is open to a move to Italy. However, Mail Sport has reported that his 375k pounds weekly wages at Manchester United are an obstacle.

There is an outside chance of a deal but the most likely scenario is that Casemiro will stay at Manchester United this month.

It looks like Casemiro is out of the Manchester United project under Ruben Amorim as the Portuguese manager has not given him minutes in the last 6 games.

Casemiro was an unused substitute in the last 6 Manchester United games and talented midfielder Toby Collyer has been involved ahead of him in multiple games.

He will likely leave the club in the summer transfer market. He was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League earlier this month, but a deal seems impossible at this stage.
