Manchester United’s new signing Patrick Dorgu was sent off on Wednesday night in the Premier League clash vs Ipswich Town after a serious foul.
Manchester United hosted Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town in the Premier League last night with a 3-2 victory after being reduced to 10 men.
Ruben Amorim’s team started the game at Old Trafford well, but they fell behind early after Andre Onana and Patrick Dorgu miscommunicated. Ipswich’s Jaden Philogene made no mistake in giving the visitors the lead.

A few minutes after De Ligt’s goal, Patrick Dorgu had a serious challenge on Omari Hutchinson and the VAR had to intervene. They told the referee to review and check for a potential red card.
After VAR checks, the Manchester United new signing was shown a straight red card for a serious foul that forced Ruben Amorim to make an early substitution as Alejandro Garnacho came off for Noussair Mazraoui.
Manchester United conceded their second goal of the night after the red card. Jaden Philogene scored the equalizer before the first-half whistle.
However, Harry Maguire’s header from Bruno Fernandes’ corner restored Manchester United’s lead in the second half as the game ended in a 3-2 victory.
Which games will Patrick Dorgu miss?
Manchester United confirmed on Thursday morning that Patrick Dorgu will miss the FA Cup match against Fulham, with the Premier League games against Arsenal and Leicester City.
However, the Danish talented left-back will be available for Manchester United’s round of 16 games against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
Patrick Dorgu will be a huge miss for Ruben Amorim in the Cup game vs Fulham and the two upcoming Premier League matches, but the most important thing is that he is fit and will learn from his mistakes.
“Patrick [Dorgu] will play in the Europa League, that’s for sure because we have to rotate,” Ruben Amorim said during his post-match press conference.
