A new report has stated that Manchester United has reached an agreement to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers – with a Wolverhampton Wanderers positive update on Liam Delap.
Manchester United are looking to enhance Ruben Amorim’s attack in the summer transfer window and they have made Matheus Cunha the priority target for the number 10 role.
The club are also looking at the number 9 position due to the lack of goals this season. Liam Delap from Ipswich has emerged as the number one target for that role and he has a relegation clause that can be triggered at the end of the season.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee has struggled to meet demands this season. The Danish striker has managed just one Premier League goal in about 28 games. However, the 25-year-old is giving priority to Manchester United and he is keen on the move. The relationship with both parties is great as per Fabrizio Romano. Ruben Amorim wants the player and he is happy with the project presented to him.
Liam Delap’s positive update
According to transfer expert David Ornstein, Manchester United can sign Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha without making any sales. The funds to pay for their release clause worth 90 million pounds is available.
The report stated that any incoming in other position will depend on sales but as for the number 10 and striker position, the finances are there for Ruben Amorim.
Liam Delap has worked with Manchester United’s director Jason Wilcox at Manchester City and Southampton. Multiple reports has stated that a move for Liam Delap is being pursued by Wilcox as he is a fan of the player.
