Manchester United has reportedly reached an agreement to sign a talented French striker. The striker will join the club as a second signing since the arrival of Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United has struggled in front of goal since Erik ten Hag took charge, with the unavailability of Anthony Martial due to injury problems. The club decided to invest in Rasmus Hojlund, who joined from Atalanta for a fee worth over 85 million euros.
Although the Danish striker has struggled to find form in his second spell at the club. Last summer, Manchester United also invested in Joshua Zirkzee, who is not a pure number 9.
However, he was doing well in the number 10 role under Ruben Amorim before he sustained a hamstring injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Manchester United’s plans this summer are to bring in a new striker who could compete with Rasmus Hojlund. However, the club are also working on the long-term by signing young talented players who would be ready for the first team in 1-2 years.
Enzo Kana-Biyik has agreed to sign for United
According to a French outlet, Le Parisien, 18-year-old talented striker Enzo Kana-Biyik and his family have reached an agreement with Manchester United to join the club as a free agent in the summer.
However, the club has planned to send him out on loan for one season to INEOS-owned club FC Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland. He will spend next season at the club and will likely return to Old Trafford the following season.
Manchester United faced competition from a lot of clubs for his signature, but thanks to Christopher Vivell, who has had a huge impact on these deals. The strategy from the board is clear, and more signings are expected to be made.
Manchester United’s aim is to sign players who will be ready for first-team football in one to two season. The club has done that with the likes of Seskou Kone and Chido Obi.
Enzo Kana-Biyik is set to become the second Manchester United signing under Ruben Amorim with the club already having signed Diego Leon, who will be joining in the summer as a left-wing-back.
