A new report revealed Manchester United’s plans for England international Jadon Sancho if he returned to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Jadon Sancho signed for Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for a fee worth over 73 million pounds, but things have not gone as expected.

The 24-year-old forward joined Chelsea on a loan deal with an obligation to make the deal permanent at the end of the season if the Blues finish above 14th position in the Premier League table.

Chelsea currently sits in the 4th position in the Premier League table. However, reports are suggesting that Chelsea could consider breaking the agreement with Manchester United and are prepared to pay a fee to get out of the deal.

Jadon Sancho’s form in the past few games has made Chelsea rethink about making his move a permanent one in the summer. He has only scored two goals in the Premier League for the club since joining in the summer.

What are Manchester United’s plans for Sancho?

With Chelsea considering not paying the £25 million fee for Jadon Sancho, Manchester United does not want him back at the club as they are planning next season without him. The club plans to sell him in the summer if he returns from Chelsea, according to The i Papar Sport.

Fabrizio Romano also reported that Manchester United has been clear about their decision on Jadon Sancho. The club does not want the player back at Old Trafford. However, Chelsea are not planning to send Jadon Sancho back to United as of today.

What happened to Jadon Sancho at Manchester United?

Sancho’s future at Manchester United took another turn after Dutch manager Erik ten Hag came out saying his level of training was the reason why he wasn’t selected for the game against Arsenal.

Jadon Sancho claps back by releasing a statement on his social media account. He got suspended and sent to the academy to train. He wasn’t allowed to play for the club until he was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Jadon Sancho was impressive during his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, playing a key role in helping the club to the UEFA Champions League final.

However, Borussia Dortmund refused to make his loan deal permanent after the end of the season. He returned to Manchester United and started training with the first team. Sancho took back in the pre-season but wasn’t given a chance in major competition at the start of the season.

Erik ten Hag left him out of the squad in most of the games despite that he was fit and ready to take part. He was allowed to join Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy for 25 million pounds during the deadline day of the transfer market.
