Manchester City legend Kevin De Bryune has announced that he will be leaving the club as a free agent this summer transfer window. He won’t be signing a new contract before the end of the season.
Kevin De Bruyne’s announcement about leaving Manchester City in the summer came on Friday afternoon as they prepared to face Manchester United at Old Trafford this coming Sunday.

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders in Premier League history and has faced Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim on multiple occasions, even before taking over as the Red Devils’ head coach in November.
What did Amorim say about De Bruyne?
“He was like one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The time passes to everyone so that is a natural thing. He improved the league, Ruben Amorim said when asked about Kevin De Bruyne. “He was on the wrong side of Manchester. I wish him good luck”, Amorim added.
Manchester United will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday afternoon after the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground stadium.
The club currently sits in the 13th position in the premeir league table with 37 points. Manchester United won in their last meeting vs Manchester City at the Eithad Stadium with Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo scoring the two goals.
Manchester United will be without Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez on Sunday, both players who had a big impact the last time they faced Manchester City. The club has confirmed that Martinez will be out until the end of the season, but Amad is likely to return in late April or May.
The club’s aim is to win the Europa League this season in other to play UEFA Champions League football next season. Securing a spot in the tournament will also help the club’s budget in the summer transfer window.
