Since taking charge in November, Ruben Amorim has given young talents the chance to be on the bench in several games. The Manchester United head coach also handed a debut to Chido Obi, Harry Amass, and Tyler Fredricson.
Sekou Kone and Chido Obi have been included in Manchester United’s traveling squad to face Athletic Bilbao, but they are not eligible to play in the Europa League. An expanded squad has been selected, as a training session is scheduled in Spain for Friday morning, according to the club.
Who is Bendito Mantato?
Bendito Mantato is a 2007-born English winger who plays for the Manchester United academy, he can also play as a left-back. Mantato has been training with the first team even when Erik ten Hag was in charge.
Manchester United sees Bendito Mantato as one of the future stars for the next years. He has traveled with the squad to Spain ahead of the Europa League game against Athletic Bilbao and has now been registered in the competition.
The 17-year-old is eligible to play in the Europa League competition, unlike Chido Obi and Sekou Kone. Mantato is expected to be on the bench against Bilbao, but unknown whether he will make his senior team debut.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Manchester United winger will sign his professional contract at the club until June 2029. Mantato is expected to make his Manchester United debut this season.
