A new report from Italy has stated Inter Milan are interested in signing Manchester United’s midfielder Mason Mount in the next summer transfer window.

Mason Mount signed for Manchester United from Chelsea for a fee worth around 50 million pounds with only one year left on his contract at that time.

The England international had interest from a lot of top clubs from Europe including Liverpool and Arsenal, but signed for Manchester United.

However, Mason Mount has been battling with injuries since signing for Manchester United in the summer of 2023 under Erik ten Hag. He has managed to play only 6 games under new manager Ruben Amorim due to injuries.

The Portuguese manager revealed in November when he took charge of the club that Mason Mount suits his system and he loves the kid. The 26-year-old played in the same system under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and he thrived, helping his boyhood club win the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Will Manchester United sell Mason Mount?

Mason Mount is currently struggling with injuries and the club are open to offers for the player. Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sell the majority of the first-team players for the right price, including the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho.

The only untouchable players at the club right now are Amad Diallo who signed a new deal a few weeks ago, Leny Yoro, and Patrick Dorgu with Ayden Heaven who joined the club in the Winter transfer window.

Inter Milan are interested in Mason Mount

According to a report from Inter Live, Inter Milan are interested in signing Mason Mount on loan with an option to buy.

The report has stated that Inter Milan wants Mason Mount as a replacement for former Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mason Mount is a player that Ruben Amorim loves as he suits his system. If the player makes a return from injury and becomes a crucial part of the squad, the club may not consider a sale.

However, Manchester United may not consider a loan deal with an option to buy for Mason Mount. The club could consider an obligation instead of an option.
