Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim faced the media on Thursday afternoon ahead of Friday night’s FA Cup clash against Leicester City.
Ruben Amorim has given an update about injuries and the availability of new signings Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven who joined the club last month.
Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven were presented to the Old Trafford crowd last week on Sunday when the team faced Crystal Palace.
Manchester United lost their last game at home against Palace after three consecutive wins and will resume their FA Cup journey on Friday as they face Leicester City at Old Trafford.
After beating Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on penalties at the Emirate stadium in the third round of the competition, the team and Ruben Amorim will be looking for a win to proceed to the next round.
Ruben Amorim who joined from Sporting CP in November will be looking to win a trophy in his first season in charge and a win on Friday will take them closer to the cup.
Ayden Heaven and Dorgu ready to face Leicester City?
Ruben Amorim has revealed that Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu could be involved in the game on Friday and they are ready to play.
“We’ll see. You have to wait until tomorrow, but they are ready to play and there are two more solutions to help us at this time”, Ruben Amorim said.

Ruben Amorim on injuries
Luke Shaw suffered a new setback days after he resumed first-team training with the group, but reports have stated that the setback is nothing serious and he could be back to training as early as Monday.
Ruben Amorim confirms, “Luke [Shaw] has a little problem in a different place than the last injury, so we’re going to be careful with Luke”, the Boss said when asked.
Lisandro Martinez who suffered a serious injury in the 0-2 defeat against Crystal Palace is set to be out for a while and the Boss has claimed that his return date is unknown at this stage, but it is an injury that will take time.
Ruben Amorim didn’t give an update on Mason Mount and Jonny Evans who are also out injured for some time now, but reports have stated that they are still recovering.
