Revealed: Andre Onana will only leave Manchester United for one reason after interest from AS Monaco

A new report has revealed the only reason why Andre Onana will agree to leave Manchester United this summer after recent interest from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.

AS Monaco are the latest club to show an interest in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana after interest from the Saudi Arabian Pro League and other clubs.

However, Andre Onana is keen to stay at Manchester United and fight for his place, plus prove himself. Reports have claimed that the goalkeeper is part of the club’s project.

Manchester United’s aim this summer is to strengthen every area of the squad, and the goalkeeper position is not ruled out if Andre Onana leaves.

Andre Onana will only leave Man United for one reason

AS Monaco has shown interest in Andre Onana and asked to be kept informed about his situation, but the goalkeeper is determined to stay at Manchester United unless he is told he is surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim, according to ESPN.

As things stand, Andre Onana is expected to return to Carrington with the Manchester United squad next month and start preparation for the new season. He remains part of the project.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Andre Onana’s situation could change later in the summer if both he and the club receive a good proposal. Manchester United would be open to selling him.

“We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,” Amorim said. “We need to improve. We cannot change all the players. We need to improve every position on the field. Goalkeeper is the same; we can work with André. André Onana already proved he is a top player with Inter. We have some seasons where we are [all] underperforming.”

Altay Bayindir is expected to leave Manchester United this summer as he wants to be the number one ahead of the World Cup 2026.

“I’d have fould it difficult”- Rio Ferdinand talks Bruno Fernandes after he rejected £700,000-per-week deal

"I'd have fould it difficult"- Rio Ferdinand talks Bruno Fernandes after he rejected £700,000-per-week deal

Bruno Fernandes turned down a life-changing offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal and decided to stay at Manchester United this summer.

The Saudi Arabian club was ready to pay what it takes to sign the Manchester United captain ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup this month, but he rejected them.

Bruno Fernandes’ decision to stay at Manchester United and fight to get the club back to the top came as a surprise to many. Manchester United just came off their worst season in the club’s history. Tottenham defeated them in the UEFA Europa League final and failed to qualify for the Champions League, which means a 25% cut from each of the players’ salaries.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand speaks highly of Bruno Fernandes and described his decision as “loyalty” to the club and fans, as he claimed the captain has unfinished business at Old Trafford.

“If I was him, I think I’d have found it difficult to say no”, Ferdinand told Mirror Football. “I’ve got to be honest. The one thing it says to me, there’s a loyalty. And I think that word gets banded about quite a lot, but we don’t really see it often from the club’s point of view and the players”.

“And listen, I understand it’s a business. But I think he looks at this as pure, “I’ve got unfinished business at United. There’s stuff I want to do here. Yes, I’ve been paid well here. The fans love me.” But I think he’s in the game of wanting to give back after all he’s received. So I’ve got nothing but respect for him. I would have understood him leaving if he left, 100 per cent”

“But the fact that he stayed and said, listen, there’s stuff for me still to do here. I think it’s a testament to him as a person, but also another reason why the managers comfortably give him the armband.”

Antony revealed that he considered retiring from football at Manchester United

Antony revealed that he considered retiring from football at Manchester United

Manchester United loanee Antony Dos Santos has revealed that he considered retiring from football during challenges off and on the pitch in Manchester.

Antony completed a loan move to Real Betis in the second half of the season, two months after the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Antony is now a different player compared to what everyone saw at Manchester United in past seasons.

The Brazilian winger joined Manchester United from Ajax in 2022 for a fee worth over 100 million euros. He managed 12 goals for the Red Devils during his time at the club and was branded a flop as he failed to meet expectations.

Playing for Manchester United comes with a lot of pressure, and some players struggle to cope with the pressure that comes with wearing the shirt, as the expectations are high.

Speaking to TNT Sports Brazil, Antony got emotional during the interview as he explained what he went through during his stay at Manchester. Erik ten Hag also revealed during his time at the club that Antony’s form was impacted by off-field problems.

“I always say that I had good moments, but I had very difficult moments too. Not only on the field but off it. People who ended up disturbing me a lot mentally, Antony told TNT Sports Brazil.

“I went through some very difficult times there that ended up affecting me a lot. But I am very grateful even for these difficult moments that I went through. Today, I feel much more mature, much more prepared, and I feel much better.

“It was a moment when I thought about stopping playing. I no longer felt that desire to play football because of everything I was going through, because of all the accusations, and because I had remained silent for so long.

“[My career] has changed a lot [at Betis]. It changed a lot because I needed to find myself, for everything I went through there in my personal life. I wanted to do things, but it seemed like it wasn’t happening because I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t feeling that desire to play football anymore, and I needed to find myself.

“Playing football was always something that I loved, and I went through difficult times when I didn’t feel that pleasure anymore.

“I would always talk to my brother, I used to say, ‘I can’t do it anymore, I can’t do it anymore’. He said: ‘Hold on a little longer and things will change’.

“I even get emotional because it was very difficult for me. Only I know what it was like inside the house, not even having the strength to play with my son, having days without eating, staying in my room.

“It was very complicated, but with the help of my family with the help of God, I managed to turn things around. I’m already very happy here.”

Antony has played a key role in Real Betis’ success this season, since he joined the club in January, and will face Chelsea on Wednesday in the Conference League final, hoping to lift the trophy.

“He wanted revenge at Betis, and he did it in a way. We know he can do it, but it is not easy when you pay €100M for a player. He is a great player, and it was a good time in Betis improving in his career, Real Betis manager Pellegrini on Antony ahead of the final.

Luis Campos to Manchester United? - Fabrizio Romano reveals the truth behind links

A new report from France states that Manchester United are in advanced negotiations to appoint Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director, Luis Campos.

Manchester United’s major aim in the summer transfer window is to bring in players that suit Ruben Amorim’s system, and work has begun behind the scenes on players they want to sign.

Manchester United has Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox, and Christopher Vivell running things from the inside, but Dan Ashworth, who was appointed as Manchester United’s sporting director last summer, was dismissed.

However, the club has been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director and former Chelsea academy chief Jim Fraser, as Jim Ratcliffe sees him as a key capture as they plan to sign leading young talent for the future.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now clarified the situation on his YouTube video, stating Manchester United’s stance and the important role Luis Campos has played at PSG.

Luis Campos to Manchester United?

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United are not in negotiations to appoint Luis Campos at the moment.

He also stated that Paris Saint-Germain sees him as an important part of their project, and he is more than a sporting director at the club. He has played a big role in the club’s recent success with his recruitment strategy.

At this stage, it’s unknown whether Manchester United are looking to hire a new sporting director, following the departure of Dan Ashworth this season. The club has appointed Christopher Vivell permanently, and Jason Wilcox has taken more responsibility.

Manchester United are already drawing up a list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window, and Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha has emerged as a top target for the number 10 role under Ruben Amorim.

Reports have confirmed that Manchester United are prepared to trigger his release clause, and the player is willing to join the club with or without UEFA Champions League football.

Jason Wilcox and Vivell are working closely in the recruitment department as they look to bring in top talent for the academy and first team. It seems clear that the club will not be bringing in a new sporting director this summer.
